BOUTIQUE HOTEL ROOM
I was given the task of creating a boutique hotel room located in Williamsburg, a young and trendy neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York. This hotel room was designed with the young, edgy, and bold audience in mind. The space was inspired by the nightlife of New York and aims to bring the fun inside even during the day. The contrast between the darker black tones and rich burnt orange allows for a dramatic and moody feeling throughout the space. This is brought together further with varying textures including velvet, leather, and stone.
I created the floor plan and elevations in AutoCAD and my renderings in Sketchup.

The majority of the space is dark gray and black, bringing in the edginess of Brooklyn, while also creating a moody space. A deep burnt orange is highlighted throughout, standing out against the dark tones and introduce the young and fun touch of the neighborhood. Tall ceilings, classic moulding, and exposed brick walls bring in classic elements of New York architecture and design. The goal was to create a space that tones down the hustle and bustle of New York, while still appreciating what makes the city great.
